There are many lovely hiking/walking trails right outside the condominium. Bike routes are in close proximity as well. Ask us for more details and for those who love golf, the Olympic View Golf Course is literally just across the street. About 2km up from Latoria Walk there is the Galloping Goose Trail. There is the Langford Shopping Mall close by for all your shopping needs and if not wanting to drive to downtown Victoria.
Bus #59 Triagle Mountains is easily accessible from across the street of the Latoria Walk building ( less then 5 minutes walk). It takes about 15 minutes to reach Langford Exchange. From Langford Exchange, bus # 50 goes directly to downtown ( about 20 to 30 minutes ride). RRU student can bike to campus. There is a bike & helmet you can rent ($15/day or $65/week).

I am originally from Italy. I came to Vancouver Island a few years ago to attend Royal Roads University. I felt in love with this area and thought I would live here for ever. But life brought me to work internationally.Recently, I have been doing some projects in Tanzania and back in Italy with family and friends. When I am travelling or working elsewhere, this is your home.My apartment is located in Colwood, 20 min. by car or about 45 min. by bus to downtown Victoria; it's about 7 min. drive and 16 to bike to Royal Roads (RRU) campus and if you like the forest as I do, there are plenty of walking trails to choose from just right outside of the building. In addition to that, the entrance of the Galloping Goose Trail is also close by.By car, you are only 30 minutes to Sooke and then on the scenery West Coast from Otter Point, Shirley, French Beach, China Beach and on to Port Renfrew, all in less then 2 hours from here!The West Coast Trail is a great treasure close enough to this area for hiking enthusiasts and lover of nature as i am :) Now, you know why I love this area!!Let me know if you have any questions prior or during your stay. I hope you will enjoy all that my home and its surroundings has to offer and I also offer my bike for rent as I think it is important to respect the environment and reduce car dependency :) I grew up in Europe so we love our walking/biking and pedestrian friendly options :) I am always available via email if not in person if you need anything during your stay and when I am not here, Sheila or Ruban will check you in and give you a tour of the apartment and be around if you need any help. My neighborhood is set 2 blocks back from all the major routes so while easy to get where you need to go, it is quiet and private. Rutledge Park is steps away with a great playground for kids, picnic tables, tennis courts and loads of green space. This is an up and coming neighborhood that's seen lots of development, so there is a brand new coffee shop and cafe right next door and a brand new Bin 4 Burger Lounge (Victoria's #1 burger joint with many offerings! I hope you are a dog lover because my girl Tessa just bursts with excitement every time we have a new visitor! Be prepared for butt wiggles & kisses! She is extremely well trained however, and if you'd prefer she will head to her crate or bed and munch on her bone happily :)

once you arrive, there is a document in the suite with my favourite restaurants and activities in the neighbourhood and around town. plus if there's something specific you're looking for, just ask me.
walk and bike is perfect way to get around victoria. every bus route is within 5 min walk from the house, and there is room to park your car directly out front of house if you want to drive over here. but you absolutely don't need a car to enjoy victoria and i highly recommend biking as preferred way to get around. there are car rental companies with pickup locations within 10min walk as well if you want to tour vancouver island. but ferry from vancouver is unnecessarily pricy to bring car over for if you just plan on touring within victoria in my opinion.
Private, peaceful, spacious and bright suite with insuite washer dryer and other appliances and great southwest facing deck. my neice 16yrs old is also available to babysit for $15/hr when available.
As much or as little interaction as you want. the suites are up/down. When i'm living in one or other of them that means we may see each other coming or going, but that's about it. Generally i don't see people or interact with them other than to coordinate meeting and maybe answer questions via text throughout their stay. But i'm also happy to provide more advice about your visit or talk about the design and build of the house if that interests you as well.
pretty easy going around here. just leave the place tidy and help me out by putting your sheets/towels in the wash upon leaving if time permits. oh, and please let me know if something could improve the stay for the next guest. and take 30 secs to write a review of the place after you leave, i'm really enjoying having the suite as a vacation rental, but i can't afford to have too many vacant days, reviews will help. Finally, kids/families are welcome, but please do let me know if your party is greater than 2 people upon booking, no extra charge, but I'll be able to advise as to whether will be comfortable and prepare the suite appropriately for your arrival. Please note, cat is in downstairs suite only. It is a five minute walk to the bus stop to go to downtown (No 22 bus) or the waterfront. It takes 10 to 20 minutes to get to the center depending on the traffic. No 22 bus from centre if coming from Clipper or I might be able to pick you up at Clipper for $10 fee. Same goes for the bus depot. I offer a lovely bedroom with a new, very comfortable double/full sized bed. Beautyrest single-coil mattress - yes it is the "bowling ball" bed! Guarantees a wonderful sleep after a hard day hiking in the forests or visiting the many sights in the downtown area. The bathroom is shared. I enjoy travelling myself and like to meet like-minded folk who need a comfortable yet safe and quiet place to stay. My neighbourhood has easy access to grocery stores, department stores and cinemas as well as lovely walks nearby.
Check in is after 2 pm and please be considerate and arrive at the designated and agreed to and no later than 8 pm. Be aware that I will have planned my day around that time.
One block away there are buses into the center and other parts of Victoria. Very easy to get around by bus.
Guests have access to shared bathroom, back deck and all toiletries supplied if needed.
I try and spend time with each guest to assist them in their decisions as to where to go and how to get there!
No smoking in the house please. It is a quiet place to stay and II try to create a peaceful environment for myself and of course my guests! Please note that I take adults only and must have reviews and good ID verification. Please keep the shower curtain inside the bath when using the shower. When using dishes please either wash them by hand and put away or put in dishwasher after rinsing them. Unloading the dishwasher would be great too! Please don't let the cats in your room as I am trying to keep it cat free so guests who have allergies can stay at my place. Thanks! I recycle pretty much everything and appreciate your help with that too!

This is a centrally located neighbourhood which makes it a good base for exploring Victoria and southern Vancouver Island. The bus stop is right outside the front door and travels to downtown Victoria in 15 minutes. Thetis Lake is 10 minutes away by car, and is a beautiful place to swim and hike. The Galloping Goose trail is two blocks from here and is perfect for walking and biking. There is a small local restaurant within easy walking distance, and an Asian market. Tillicum Mall is a 5-minute drive and has a large grocery store, Starbucks, drug store, restaurants, movie theatre, a medical clinic and more.
The driveway is front of the house and there is additional room to park out front. There's room for two cars in addition to our car.
You will find the location easily accessible to the main thoroughfares that connect to places you'd like to visit: - Take the #22 bus to downtown Victoria or travel by car, bus or bike (the bus stop is right outside the front door! Deb works from home on her computer, Stu spends time gardening in the backyard and Aliyah comes and goes. We are almost always available for quick chat and to answer questions. Other guests may be using the shared areas. Jack the dog is a very friendly, well-behaved rescue poodle and is usually quiet, though he will bark when you arrive but he settles down quickly. He loves attention, but a firm 'no' is all it usually takes to dissuade him from seeking out more. A self-serve breakfast (toast, cereal and tea) is provided as a courtesy (upon request) and is not part of the Airbnb service. Items will be available on the island in the kitchen.

My husband and I are a professional couple who enjoy travel and collecting art. We lived in this wonderfully eclectic home for a number of years before converting it to a home available for vacation (URL HIDDEN) love the area which is close to hiking trials, a wonderful swimming lake, the ocean and the Galloping Goose trail. In addition to our "day jobs" we own and operate a number of vacation rental properties . This keeps us busy but in a good way. We love food, wine and good company. In our free time my husband plays tennis, I go to yoga classes and we enjoy kayaking together/ We have a 10 month old standard poodle named Winston which we are presently training or he is training us- hard to tell really.I hope you will love this home as much as we do!

Our neighborhood is close to downtown Victoria but far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. We love the convenience of all the stores on Quadra St, a 10 minute walk from our house. The neighborhood is full of vintage houses and beautiful gardens plus there is a wild flower and oak meadow at the top of our road with a view over Victoria. By car, public transport or on foot our neighborhood is a delight to stay in. Victoria is a city to visit at any time of the year. We have a mild winter climate, early spring and late fall season. The summer season varies from comfortably warm and dry to downright hot at times. Victoria has much less rain fall than the mainland.
Our neighborhood has restaurants and cafes and a theater that performs live theater and/or movies at different times of the year. See guidebook.
The buses run frequently within blocks of our house to downtown, UVIC and Camosen College. The airporter is easy to catch from Quadra Village a few blocks from our house . The Butchart Gardens are about a half hour city bus ride from Hillside Ave and Douglas St and about a 20 min drive on Highway 17 or on, much more picturesque route, West Saanich Rd. We have safe street parking outside our house.
Guests have access to our back deck and garden. There is a Pergola at the end of the garden that guests can sit in at any time. Guests will be sharing the main bathroom with us, which is discretely located at the bottom of the stairs to the guest room, for a bath or shower but have their own 2 piece bathroom off their room.
We are always present at our house when guests are staying with us. We try not to intrude on our guests if they seem to prefer to have time on their own but are there if they feel like chatting. Breakfast served between 8 and 9.00am. We like to think of ourselves as concierges when and if the guest requires extra information on the area.
No smoking in house or any where on our property. Two piece ensuite off room and use of shared main bath or shower. Please bring the bath mat provided in your room to use in main bathroom for your bath or shower. Soft shoes to be worn on main floor of the house, we have a tenant in our ground floor flat. No pets.

If you want to stay in the neighbourhood, wander across the high school green space to Fernwood Village to buy fresh local produce at Aubergine and have an organic latte at Cornerstone Cafe. Book at the day spa, yoga or art class and pick up your tickets for a performance at the Belfry Theatre. Purchase momentos for family and friends at the artist-run gift store or give yourself a gift and get a tattoo. Have dinner at any of the fabulous eateries – Fernwood Inn for local brews, Ca Va Bistro Moderne for fine dining, Stage for tapas. Our neighbourhood is known both as Funky Fernwood and Friendly Fernwood. Both are true!
One block to fabulous Fernwood Village. A 15 minute walk to Chinatown. On the way, stop by Cold Comfort Ice Cream Shop, The Parsonage Cafe (fabulous coffee) or Patisserie Daniel for baked goods. Next stop (one block from Chinatown) – Victoria Public Market for lots of organic and local food. A 25 minute walk to Victoria's Inner Harbour – surrounded by the Empress Hotel, the BC Legislature, the Royal BC Museum and Tourism Victoria. Lots of on-street parking. One block to public transit. The house has a basement suite that is currently being rented by quiet long term renters. We are looking for guests who will be respectful of that. We do not have a microwave. Sorry, you'll need to use the stove!

Guests have access to washer and dryer, and wifi.
We will arrange to hand over the house keys and to give a quick tour of the house when the guests arrive.

The kitchen has beautiful views of the Olympic Mountains it really is stunning. The bedroom is a nice size the queen bed fits in nicely and it is really comfortable, or at least I think so. While you are here the family will be coming and going living their life so you should expect to have some privacy when you are here and some interaction if you want to hang out. Our neighbourhood is call Cedar Hill and it is a quiet area with mostly single family dwellings but there is a plaza and a mall within walking distance. I love that our neighbourhood is so central to everything. It is close to 2 grocery stores, walkable to a mall close to a movie theatre, and only 10 minutes to downtown. We know all our neighbours and its just really a lovely place to be while in Victoria.
If there is something you need, please just ask!! I would hope that you feel comfortable and enjoy your stay. Since I work part of the time it is impossible for me to make breakfast. I do however offer breakfast food as part of your stay. If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies let me know and I can stock things you like. On hand are cereals milk eggs and bread.
There are 2 bus routes near our house. The #24 is right up the street (3 houses) but the frequency of this bus is not as great as buses which travel on Shelbourne street a 5 minute walk from our house. The buses on Shelbourne run every 15 minutes during peak times and about every 20 during the down time. Bus passes are available at the Fairways Market or 7-11's downtown. We also have a bike here (2 if you give us some heads up) which you can borrow to get around. Walking downtown from here takes about 45 minutes. I highly recommend (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps to help you figure out when and where you want to go. Of course we will have a map available to you here :)
Guest will have access to the beautiful patio and the trampoline in the back yard. As well as the kitchen for cooking. The bathroom is shared with myself and my husband and of course you are welcome to hang out with us in the living room.
Sometimes I work early mornings and go to bed early and sometimes I work evenings and am not around much during the day. It kinda just depends. We hope that you will feel like you are staying with friends and feel comfortable just to get out and explore.

This is a very quiet neighborhood, which is close to buses, parks, shopping, and restaurants. We love the area. It is usually a 20-25 Drive to downtown Victoria (other than rush time hours). There is convenient public transit throughout Victoria from early morning until midnight.
Make sure to take a look at our reviews. We do have another small bedroom on this level with a single bed. We also have a small table and 2chairs on the patio area, plus have a gas BBQ for you to use!
Getting around is easy. We have Great Transit service, if you are driving we can provide you with a GPS (if available) with all the Great Areas around Victoria. We have additional Parking for your vehicle. If you are flying or coming by ferry there is Public Transit, or Cab service.
We have an electronic door Lock for our front door, and we will provide you with a # before your arrival. If you are arriving later in the evening, please let us know.

On the five acre property you will find the Gilbertson family. Marty, Ava, Justin and many furry critters who are also part of the family. Marty and Ava live in the main house next to the private BnB cottage and Justin lives on the other side of the property in the trees. Marty and Justin are on site blacksmiths working out of their studio and it is very common that someone is always around the property. It needs to be mentioned that the entire family are volunteer firefighters for the municipality with Marty being the chief. Please bare this in mind as we are on call 24/7 and may have to leave at any time in case of an emergency.Justin an avid traveler as has been around the world five times now visiting over 70 countries on every populated continent over the last ten years. He knows what it's like to linger for a comfortable night on the road so we have tried to provide you with just that.Anything else you wish to know, please feel free to ask and we'd be happy to share with you.

We are renting our cozy ground level suite. There is one bedroom( queen size bed) and there is a sofa bed in the living room so this space is small but ideal for 2-4 ppl. This is a self contained and furnished suite of a 1911 Character house, has a kitchen and full bathroom, separate entrance. We are a family 4 who live upstairs and our house is situated in a beautiful part of Victoria. Short walk to the Ocean, Beaches, Grocery store, Restaurants, Parks and on the bus route. About a 30 minute walk from downtown. Kids are welcome :) We have 2 kids ourselves. No Smoking and No Pets Please. Our place is set amongst the farms, fields and mountains of the Cranberry Valley. Bald eagles ride the thermals over our garden and deer wander through the fields. It's really quiet, especially in the late evening and overnight. There's little light pollution, so you get a great view of the stars. Talk to us and we'll tell you when you can sit out on the patio and watch the Space Station go over!
Please note that our base price ($150) is for the use of one bedroom. There's an additional charge of $50 for use of bedroom #2.
You need a car to enjoy Salt Spring Island. Some fit folks ride bikes - some cheat a bit and have electric ones. Our view is that you can certainly get about on a bike, however some of the steeper roads might be a challenge!!

We're about most of the time in the garden and greenhouse. Hang over the fence for a chat anytime!
We are strictly NO SMOKING. This includes outside. No children under 12 please. We do not allow pets out of respect for our guests with allergies. We have dogs and a cat, however they are completely separated from the Lodge and its garden. They are exceptionally friendly.

We also manage a small flock of laying hens, produce ten acres of grains and legumes, and have over 30 acres of hay and pasture.
The farm and land inspires community, gathering, eating, working and playing together whether you are a farm crew member or a guest. Foxglove Cottages and Heritage Log House are a great place to bring a group – sleeping up to 13 people family style. Guests can have as much or as little interaction with the hosts and farm crew.
Foxglove Farm is a unique experience staying on a historic 120 acre working farm. Drive slowly, we have small animals, kids and farm equipment moving around on the roads. NO Smoking -forest and grassland fire hazards. We love dogs, please keep them leashed while on the farm, clean up after them and please keep them off furniture and linens. A two minute walk to St Mary Lake, the largest lake on Salt Spring, it is also close to the popular public access beach for swimming. If lazing is what you wish, there is a small deck in the private garden surrounding the B&B which many guests have enjoyed, either taking their breakfast out there in the mornings, or enjoying the full sun in the afternoon with a snack and a glass of wine.
There is always something happening on Salt Spring, from wine and food, to cycling events. One of North America's premier Farmer's Markets are held every Saturday from April through to October, and offer home-grown organic strawberries, Salt Spring cheeses, both organic cow's milk, as well as tangy goat cheese, and a myriad of other tantalizing goodies. Artisans from painters, weavers, to silversmiths, share the space. 7 minute drive from the B&B. Lots of hiking, biking and kayaking areas available throughout the island too.
Salt Spring has a transit system available, which runs every couple hours, and a two minute walk from the B&B. If you have a car, there is ample parking at the B&B. Directions are available to the B&B from any of the three ferry terminals.

We greet guests and let them set the pace for interaction. Always happy to chat, and just as easily keep our distance if that is what the guest wishes. We will be on premises most days during guest stay, and accessible by phone when not on premises.
Pets are welcome if they are well-behaved. There is a resident dog and cat on premises, and both are very social! Smoking is permitted outside the B&B.

This is an older neighbourhood with a strong history. The gardens are large,well treed and many of my neighbours have been here for many years. We have a heron colony, bald eagles are often seen and the sandy beach encourages many sea birds and ducks. We have resident Anna's hummingbirds constantly feeding.
The University of Victoria is within walking distance. If the hill is a bit much first thing in the morning the bus is right here. Also close are the Royal Jubilee Hospital, Cancer Clinic, the scenic bicycle route and downtown Victoria. This property has a business licence and complies with the local by laws.
Parking is easy, the bus to the University and downtown Victoria is conveniently caught, a bicycle and seaside route is handy. Car rentals are available at the airport. The air porter bus will drop you off if requested.
We welcome guests to enjoy the gardens, beach and the private covered patio. I grow many herbs which are available for the guests to use.
The suite is completely self contained and private from the main part of the house. This is our home and we spend much of our time maintaining the gardens and the greenhouse. Heirloom tomatoes my speciality.
No smoking, no pets. Quiet couple or single professional.

Almost all you need is in Oak Bay Village. Great walks by the sea, golf, interesting places to eat and drink. All very close to downtown, University of Victoria and Camosun College.
The basement suite is quiet. Sleep like a baby. New carbon monoxide detector. The extra single bed is separate from the main bedroom.
Local bus service to downtown.

Lived in East and Central Africa and South Pacific for a number of years but with a family home eight miles north of Sheffield UK on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Three children; two of them living in VIctoria with their families. Frank is a retired university professor. Now a writer/poet and presenter. Moved to Victoria in 2006. Permanent residents since October 2008.Frank is a fund raiser for Multiple Sclerosis Society through his writing (two collections of poetry). Published short story writer with two books published in the UK. Elaine and Frank both sing with the Arbutus Singers in Victoria. Both golfers and members of Uplands Golf Club.

We are within walking distance of the ferry, Otter Bay Marina, kayaking, golfing and beaches. There are nice restaurants at Hope Bay, the main shopping area at the Driftwood Centre and Port Browning as well as many art and craft studios, a winery, walking trails and a Saturday morning farmer's market.
The Island has a Recycling Station but no garbage dump so all garbage has to be taken off Island. We ask our guests to put all food waste in the compost bin provided and keep all recycling items separate from the garbage. The pool is open from May long weekend until mid-September, weather permitting. A cover is put on from dusk to 9:30 am to retain the temperature. The hot tub is kept covered to retain the heat and we ask guests to put the cover back on after use.
There is a Pender Island Taxi Service as well as car stops where you can sit/stand and be picked up by friendly islanders.
The heated pool, hot tub and grass tennis court are available for use by guests and are shared with the hosts and guests from 2 other cottages. There is also a walk down from the pool through the woods to the waterfront.
The owners live in the house on the property and are available most of the time. The use of the tennis court, pool and hot tub is shared with the owners.
Use of facilities is for registered guests only. Permission is required for visiting friends/family of guests.

Guests can be as private as they wish. There are some we only see at check in or checkout. We also provide airport pickup at very reasonable rates. The neighbourhood is close to wonderful walking, biking and viewing spots.

I have a great one bedroom suite in the lower level of my character home. I always tell people that the ceiling height is 6'3" as it's on the ground floor. The private entrance features an outdoor sitting area for morning coffee (which is provided) or evening wine (you're on your own for that one). The suite has a new queen sized bed and recent renovation of the washroom. This suite is conveniently located close to town and has easy access for those of you wanting to escape city life and indulge in some island adventures. This suite is a 5 minute drive to town, 5 minute walk to Uptown shopping centre and a 3 minute walk to The Galloping Goose trail for a casual stroll or bike ride. The house is also very close to all major bus routes. The suite includes tv with cable and free internet access for those of you who might have to do some work. The suite has a full kitchen for those that want to cook. The yard has a great garden in the back, so if you need to pinch some herbs just let

Centrally located to all of greater Victoria.
There are several Buses that will take you downtown in 15 minutes, they are about a 5 minute walk located on Douglas St. A bus to Uvic is only a two minute walk.
There is one off-road parking spot and street parking as well. The suite is best suited for a couple, yet can accomodate another person with advance warning. There is a BBQ on request as well.
We do live in the suite upstairs so are coming and going, unfortunately we are not always there to meet and greet everyone. We are only a phone call (or text) away if you ever need anything though. We try to give our guests space and hope that they will find our suite to be a cozy home away from home. If you want any suggestions for dinner or hikes, please ask.
I love meeting people that are staying, however I do enjoy my privacy and am sure others are the same. I am respectful of my guests and hope they are as well. I do not smoke and hope that others do not smoke in my home. If you feel like something is missing, let me know and I may have some close at hand.

Our sweet little space is in the perfect location for exploring the best Victoria has to offer. It is located within two blocks of the water, fisherman's warf. Enjoy fresh ocean air and quite neighbourhood a short walk for the heart of the city.
We have a recently renovated, bright, spacious self contained garden level studio apartment in our house. It has a separate entrance, full kitchen, modern lighting and bathroom with heated tile floor. The bed is a comfortable Queen sized Sealy Back Health Mattress. We use 100% cotton sheets and supply organic bamboo/cotton towels. The suite is in the quiet neighbourhood of James Bay, two blocks from the Dallas Road waterfront, bus stop and Fisherman's Wharf, a ten/fifteen minute walk from Downtown Victoria's Harbour Front. There are a number of eating places within a few blocks including the best seafood supplier in Victoria (Finest at Sea), fish and chips and the Ogden Point Cafe/Bar which now features live music on a number of days a week. Walk a bit further and you are in the heart of downtown Victoria. While ideal for an individual or couple children can be accommodated. You will love our neighbourhood. It is quiet and filled with character. It's close proximity to the water and downtown make it a perfect place for a vacation. You can get around and explore many things without needing a car.
I can be flexible with check-in and check-out times depending on other bookings.
There is a transit stop two blocks from the suite. We are also only a 20min walk from the bus that goes directly to the ferry to Vancouver and Anacortes. We are less than 1km from the Seattle Clipper and the Black Ball ferry to Port Angeles. From the airport you can take the airport shuttle within blocks of our house. It takes just over an hour to take public transit to a bus stop 20min walk away. Taxi will cost you about $60. If timing works we can take you for $50. If you arrive by car you will be able to find parking on the street. If you are planning to arrive by bike ask us about our bike storage. We have recently purchased two folding bikes that can be used by guests by donation. Please let us know if you are interested in using them. They can come in handy for picking up groceries (less than 1km away), cruising downtown (1.5km), or cruising along the waterfront (2 blocks away).
Guests have access to the suite and are welcome to use the back yard if they wish. However, it is currently in need of work...but still a sunny place to sit :).
We will most likely be home when you are here. I always enjoy meeting guests and sharing information about Victoria.
We have decided not to add additional cost for cleaning. So, we expect that you will help us out and clean up after yourselves as if it were your own home. Thanks :) No Pets. No smoking.

There is a maid service will take care of washing the linens and cleaning the bathroom. I ask guests to clean any surfaces, washing dishes and cleaning kitchen. If the unit is left excessively unclean or kitchen is not clean there will be a $40/hour cleaning fee taken from the deposit.
