We live in the centre of the city of Vancouver in a family rich neighborhood called Cedar Cottage. Our streets are lined with large Oak trees. 100m from our house is a small elementary school with a park and large field for all to enjoy. The neighborhood has undergone significant change in the past 10 years as many young professional couples have bought houses and started families including ourselves. We love our neighbourhood as it is the most community oriented hood we have ever experienced. Surrounded by restaurants, cafes, and other basic amenities, we don't need to drive anywhere. Within a 15 minute walk are areas including Main St, Fraser/Kingway hub, and just a little further the Commercial Drive district.
Our family includes a friendly German Shepard service dog, who we are training to be a 'diabetes alert dog' for our son Oscar who has type 1 diabetes. Her name is Dexi.
We are within a few blocks of three major arteries for public transit in Vancouver. Very accessible and will take you wherever you want to go.
Guests have the entrance, staircase and second floor of the building to themselves. Our family lives in the main house on the property. Peter has his work space for his design and furniture studio on the ground floor. He is there often during daytime working hours. This has not been an issue for our guests due to the thick concrete floors and intermittent nature of his work.
We see our guests coming and going if we are outside. We interact with them in person, by text or by email to makes arrangements and as needed to support them throughout their stay.
We request absolutely no smoking inside. We welcome pets and children. We ask our guests to respect the natural wood furnishings and finishings

We moved into this central Vancouver location 2005. We were the first residential applicant of Vancouver's ecodensity initiative in our area that allowed laneway houses to be built on a regular sized city lot. We built our laneway house by late 2009 and since then have seen our neighborhood blossom with countless young families. We feel right at home with the large old oak trees, field, playground and tarmack 100m down the road, and friends walking by throughout the day. We value community, can't live without the outdoors and being active, film, music, friends, making things and solving problems.We welcome people travelling to Vancouver whether it be to explore the city, relocate, visit family or enjoy the wondrous outdoors our city is centred in. It is a highlight for us to meet people adventuring from all across the world, who find a home in our space for their time in our beautiful city.Craftsman/designer, Public Health nurse and educator by trade, we find our two young boys keep us busy and engaged. We believe in the principle of kaizen, slow and constant change toward improvement. We find joy in beautiful, simple and sustainable and our space reflects that.

Absolutely no smoking! We're totally gay-friendly and family-friendly. We have a young daughter, so we have to make sure everything is alright by her. We ask that guests park on the opposite side of the street, as it is permit-only parking in front of the house.

I have a bright furnished 2 bedroom suite on a quiet street in central vibrant part of Vancouver. The area has lots of coffee shops & restaurants and easy access to public transit in all directions. Lots of free parking available on quiet street.
The suite itself is fully furnished and very clean with large south facing windows, hardwood floors, fireplace, dishwasher, TV, wireless internet and laundry (front load washer in suite. Dryer in building). I am looking for someone to sublet the 2nd bedroom periodically. I am happy to host for anything from a couple of days to a couple of months. The bedroom has a queen sized bed with linen & towels provided. The room is normally unused, so the double-sized closet and dressers are essentially empty providing lots of space to store gear and clothes as needed. For longer term rentals, I am generally looking for a clean non-smoker (30 something... ish) who is relatively quiet, but who is also sociable and doesn't spend endless hours simply watching television. It particular suits (though not necessarily limited to) grad students, mature travellers. This varies quite a bit. I often enjoy long interesting conversations, going out to dinner, or even going hiking with guests, but in some cases, due to our respective schedules, I virtually never meet them.

Our neighbourhood is extremely central to all areas of the Greater Vancouver Area. It is 15-20 minute public transit or driving to downtown Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, etc. There are plenty of grocery stores, banks, medical and dental offices, restaurants, city parks, community centre, running track, library, swimming pool, fitness centre, ice rink and much more just minutes walking distance away. We have great access to public transit with three bus lines #29, 41 and 43 just out front taking you to two skytrain stations in 5 minutes. Above all, we are situated in a beautiful neighbourhood that is extremely safe, secure and free of crime. Streets are clean and well lit by street lamps.
The house rules are no pets and no smoking indoors. Smoking is allowed outside the house on the property. We would also appreciate the noise level being reduced after 10 PM for the comfort of others in the house. Please be aware and keep your voice level at a minimum during late night phone calls to be respectful of others staying in the house. It may be daytime where you are traveling from, but it is night time for our other guests.

Our neighbourhood is very diverse with lots of great restaurants, cafes, and bars. Also Main street has great funky clothing boutiques by local designers. It is a very walkable neighbourhood.
We are very easy to access by public transit. Both the Main and Fraser bus will bring you here in just 15 minutes from the skytrain. Or you can take a short 5 minute bus ride from the King Edward Canada Line station. It is about 30 minutes by public transit to the airport and about 20 - 25 minutes by public transit to downtown. By car, it is 15 minutes to downtown or the airport.
Guests are welcome to use our garden, there is even a small patio area reserved for guests.
We are a family of four living upstairs with 2 small children. We love meeting new people and are more than happy to help you figure out what to do in beautiful Vancouver.
We are pretty easy going but we do as that there be absolutely no smoking on the premises. We also ask that you tidy up after yourselves and please clean your dishes before leaving. We are open to you bringing your pets if need be, but as there are two small children upstairs living in the main house, only friendly and gentle animals please. All clean bedding and linen will be provided for your stay. Also, no late parties or noise after 10pm.

The suite is very private and separate from our living space so you are very much on your own and don't need to check in with us on a daily basis unless you need to. Smoking is not permitted inside the suite, and shoes are to be taken off (since it is carpeted).We are not bothered by late nights but ask that you keep noise to a minimum after 11pm.We also have a cleaning fee however we try to keep costs down for our guests so we provide the option to leave the suite clean and tidy for the next guests, excluding all linens and laundry, and the cleaning fee will be automatically waived. Otherwise the cleaning service is available if preferred. There is also a standard guest registration which can be completed and returned via email. That's all. Welcome to our Home!

We are located less than a 10 minute walk to a major transit hub, to a weekly Saturday Farmers Market (May-October) - one of the best in the city! Our street and the ones near it have beautiful gardens, some of which have been featured in books about Vancouver. We also live 1 block from one of Vancouver's many bike/ pedestrian only "greenway". Very quiet neighbourhood within minutes of downtown on the sky train.
We love having guests in our home. The suite is in a separate part of the house with a private entrance. We offer complete privacy and let the guests determine how much contact they want with us after checking in.
Major transit hub less than a 10 minute walk away. Bus connecting to that hub is 2 blocks away. No car is needed when visiting Vancouver, as it is very walkable and has excellent public transit. Even getting to Whistler or further afield can be done on transit.

We travel off and on. When we are in town we are available to assist guests with the touring of Vancouver. We also enjoy getting to know guests when the weather is good and we can all enjoy the backyard.
No candles. Guests are requested to sort their recycling and use composter for food scraps. Guests will be requested to sign an electronic rental agreement with the host. Only registered guests may sleep overnight. Fees sited are for use of one bed only. Use of second bed is an extra charge per night. Please ask about it. Guests will receive directions to suite and where to find the key once booking is confirmed and rental agreement is signed.

No Smoking and no smokers. It is NOT acceptable to smoke on the boulevard or patio then come in. This building has just passed a bylaw inforced by large fines to people smoking inside and around the building. Sorry: too many allergies and issues with other guests to allow this. Leave the place as clean as when you arrived please! There is a monthly cleaning fee to keep the place in good shape. $200 No Pets. Enjoy the city!

My home is the only character house left on my the street that is original, built in 1928 and nestled in a rainforest it has a rustic ambience ,it's very quiet here. My neighbourhood has fantastic views of the city just by walking across the street.

Our yard is a gem amongst the city life. Once you leave our yard the rest of the neighbourhood is safe and easy to access the rest of the city. We live right by 2 small villages where you can go out for dinner,pick up a loaf of bread, get lunch or go grocery shopping. There are 3 grocery stores, Safeway, Stongs and Choices Market within walking distance and also a liquor store.
I have 2 cats!!! If you are allergic to animals ,please consider whether my place is a good fit for you.
Public Transit is easily accessible to everyone. Its about a one minute walk from our house to the bus stop. We have 3 bus routes at my corner that connect you to other buses, ie, #25-UBC , # 22 Macdonald / Knight which take you downtown and the beaches Stanley Park . The #25 bus will take you to the Canada Line which is the train that goes to the airport,you can get around the city easily from here. We also have 3 bikes, which you may use. Buses will take 2 bikes if you don't feel like riding back home. We are right beside quite a few bike routes ,"Valley" ," Balaclava" ,"Ridgeway" and "Seaside" which is great for the summer heading to the beaches etc. Vancouver is a bike friendly city !
Private one bedroom suite with bathroom and living room, Backyard, BBQ, laundry, 3 bikes, picnic table, I rarely have anyone upstairs in my living area or kitchen .
I am almost always nearby and available for ideas on restaurants, running routes, buses, beaches, cafes, beer and wine tasting venues etc etc . I greet my guests when they arrive and hopefully get a chance to say Bye too but it doesn't always work out that way. I mainly leave my guests alone while they are here, I think people generally like that. I am a very approachable person though so I hope my guests feel very much at home here even if I don't see them much. Paths tend to cross more often in the summer when we are outside.
The suite is private and separate from our living space so you are very much on your own and don't need to check in with us on a daily basis unless you need to. I ask that you please remove your shoes at the door otherwise the area rugs get soiled very quickly. There are down booties provided for you inside the suite. You are welcome to use the laundry, BBQ outside, the yard and tables in the garden. Since the Garden area is also our space we are sometimes outside eating or socializing with friends. Some of our guests have had dinner parties outside in the summer with family and friends from Vancouver and we have loved the events too. We are not bothered by late nights but ask that you keep voices to a minimum after 11 pm and before 8 am, since it's an old house it's NOT sound proof !!! We also ask that if you smoke, please do so outside. That is all. Welcome to our Home!

I was born and raised in Vancouver, BC and I have traveled and worked travelled extensively all over Canada, travelled through most Mexico, the USA, Borneo, Malaysia and Great Britain but, I have so much more to see on this planet. I love where I live, my home is really laid back, funky and comfortable, it sits in a grove within a forest amidst a city as its neighbour. I have lived in this same house for 23 years and counting! At this time we have our resident two kitties, Pip and Clementine (mother and daughter) .I have a couple of bikes for guests to use during their stay and if you want me to take you on a hike or walk into the local mountains, off the beaten track, beaches or something out of the ordinary, it would be a pleasure for me to do so, if our schedules work out that it's possible, just let me know. We are block and a half from Main Street which is full of restaurants, brew pubs, and coffee shops, boutiques and shops. There is free parking in front of our home and a bus that connects to everywhere at the corner of Main and 18th. The neighbourhood is young and fun and friendly.

Our House was built in 1905 and the loft offers a view of all three mountains with a full view of the City of Vancouver. SoMo (South main) has become incredibly popular with so many eateries, at least 5 breweries within walking distance, views of our mountains, antiquing, skateboarding, walks along the famous false creek at the Olympic village - what more could one ask for?
We just were awarded Heritage Status for our Neo Edwardian house which protects it from any major changes by any owner in the future. The City of Vancouver now cherishes its heritage properties and we are glad to have this designation.
The Canada line to the airport and further on to city centre is 7 blocks only. The Broadway main line is 1.5 blocks and the Skytrain (Science World)is about 6 blocks. Also water taxis are at the foot of Ontario St. (6 blocks) to granville island and such. We also have bicycles, helmets, locks etc. you can borrow to go to Stanley Park, etc.
Up to 2.5 Guests will have access to full Loft (bathroom, bed, couch, kitchette, internet, TV,etc.) and can use our downstairs kitchen to cook but only upon request. We are easy going and want to make a great experience for every guest.
We enjoy meeting our guests but allow total privacy. Time permitting we love to share a meal or a BBQ but respect everyone's needs and wishes. Here's an Op Ed piece I did for the local newspaper:
The house of wayward rules are simple - just be cool. Quiet hours are usually 11pm to 7am unless the hot tub and other social activities are underway. Consider no shoes in the loft as sound can travel - and limit rolling chairs during quiet hours. Please leave the loft as you found it (laundry aside of course). Chin and Sombrio are extremely well behaved retriever x's and will not be in your way. There is now a fridge with freezer and a microwave upstairs for light meal making. There is a sink, cutlery, toaster, kettle and dishes at your disposal. The kitchen downstairs is available upon request when convenient to the owner. Runners, trail runners, skiers, hikers most welcome - we can help you plan your adventure. We might even guide for you! We have two bikes available for your use. (plse use locks provided - you will be responsible for replacement) Note: We are a non-smoking household. Weather and availability MAY include access to a Pt. Roberts, WA beach house cottage.

Strathcona is within walking distance to Commercial Drive and Downtown. A 10-12 minute walk will give you access to the Seawall near Science World where one can either go to English Bay and Stanley Park, or Granville Island, Kits Beach etc. There are many Craft Breweries within walking distance including Red Truck, Brass Neck , Bomber Brewing, Off the Rails, and Odd Fellows.
Walking is by far the best way to get around. The #22 bus also takes you downtown , and the Skytrain and bus/train station are also just a short walk away.
The suite is completely private. You have your own entrance and balcony.
I work , but am certainly available to provide advice on restaurants, craft breweries, directions, etc.
No smoking inside the suite please. No loud noise after 10:00 PM. If you need anything - more towels,tp, more kitchen items/utensils, just ask . Monthly rate includes cleaning the suite and laundering sheets and towels once a week.

Kits is THE best neighborhood in Vancouver. Beaches, parks, yoga, cycling, fabulous restaurants and cafes. It is like a village within a city. Character homes and gardens. We have a Starbucks on the corner, Sweet Obsession cafe (mmmmmm!) and Trafalgars Bistro plus Choices Market with organic and specialty foods as well as regular groceries only 2 minutes walk.
Very comfortable, easy-going, great neighborhood. Great for cycling around. We can arrange cycle rentals. Also on great bus route. Parking available on street. The washer and dryer is shared with the hosts and is usually available for stays of longer than a week. However please ask and if possible we will make it available if needed, but we may need it during a guest changeover day for our other air B and B room!
There are frequent buses to other parts of the city all 10-15 minutes by bus- UBC, downtown, Kerrisdale etc. Only a 2 minute walk to bus stop. Stephens Street bikeway and W10th ave bikeroute all close by, along with new Point Grey waterfront bike route.
The entire suite is yours to enjoy with your own separate entrance. The garden is available with some limits. (if we are using it for entertaining for example!) Maybe rented with additional one bedroom and bathroom on same level with advance notice.

Hello, Peter and I live here together with our new cat Rupert. Alas our wonderfull cat Woodstock who features in the photos is now in cat heaven. (I could not find a photo of all of us!) We enjoy gardening, playing tennis, cycling, skiing and swimming in the sea (and I have recenlty taken up paddle boarding!) and reading when not busily working or welcoming guests. Allergy alert: Our very sweet cat Yngwie Meowmsteen has free reign of the house, EXCEPT for the guest room, to keep it as hair-and-allergen free as possible. You have use of your own bathroom with deep soaker tub and shower, stocked with towels, face cloths, soap, shampoo and conditioner. The living room has a large leather sectional sofa, flatscreen TV and DVD player with a vast selection of movies for your enjoyment. Light use of the kitchen is welcome, as well as the use of our wonderful 500 sq. ft. outdoor patio deck in nice weather.
The Nos: No microwave. Please limit cooking to light cooking only, ie. heating soup, left overs, etc. No full meals, frying foods, etc. No smoking of anything in the house. Patio is ok. No non-registered visitors. The Yeses: Peace and tranquility rules here. Cleaning up after ones self is critical in all areas. Respect must be exercised. If there is a big mess, there will be an additional clean up fee of $100 taken from your damage deposit. -We recycle nearly everything, and we can show you where the recycling space is - we have separate bins for paper, hard plastics, cans and glass, soft plastics, tin foil and styrofoam. 1 bedroom suite with private entrance in a house in the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood of Vancouver. There is now a king sized bed in the bedroom(not pictured) and a long sectional couch in the living room. Small, but fully equipped kitchen. Bath with shower. Being the top floor suite of the house, it does get quite warm in the summer months. There are several fans to help cool it down. There is a good sized yard shared with the downstairs neighbours (who are very nice!). One block off Main Street. Loads of shopping and restaurants. One block away from transit (15 minutes to downtown). Clean and tidy! Thanks for looking at my place. It's a wonderful 550sqft apartment in the heart of the West End. It's on the 9th floor with a balcony and AMAZING views to the mountains and water. Its a 1 minute walk to Davie Street, 5 minutes to Robson and Denman streets. Apt includes nice living room, kitchen, closet space, and wi-fi. There are tons of restaurants, shops, grocery stores on Davie, Denman, and Robson, and some of the best restaurants in the city. I can give a few recommendations if you are unfamiliar with the neighborhood. Coming from the airport, there are great transit options, and it is very convenient to reach the West End neighborhood. As its the densest area in Vancouver, parking is tightly regulated. I have a 3 hour guest pass, otherwise you need a permit to park overnight on the street. There are many lots nearby with fairly good day rates. However, if you do contact me about parking, I may be able to obtain a temporary parking permit from my building manager, so it's

Everything in the apartment is straightforward! And generally I just expect a clean house when I return in the same condition as arrival (of course minus the linens, towels, etc). I generally leave coffee, tea, and some recommendations for the neighborhood, etc at a minimum, and feel free to use the kitchen, fridge, and cook whatever. I hope you feel right at home! Your cozy room is 2 blocks away from the seawall which boasts 20+ km of running and biking paths and 15 minutes to the best fresh food market in town. Granville Island is home to a great fresh produce market, theatres, artisan shops and restaurants. Our location is probably the best in the city if you consider that it is close to the downtown core but not so close that the noise will be an issue at night.
In our lovely Village we have Urban Fare, a supermarket, community centre, London Drugs, Legacy Liquor Store, a bank and pub and two restaurants, one of which features 120 craft beer on tap! There are coffee shops galore, medical and dental clinics and new restaurants popping up all the time.
The train stations are a 10 minute walk either way which provides direct access to the major centres in the lower mainland. There's a bus stop around the corner and the seawall takes you where ever you want to go along the ocean.
You have full access to our shared space and we will make every effort to ensure your comfort and safety. Do you like to cook? Great! We are happy to do that together. Take a stroll or borrow a book from our in-house library adn then bring it up to one of the two rooftop gardens or our private patio. We are often home in the evenings and love to watch baseball and or Netflix. We hope you'd feel comfortable joining us in our common living space. There is wi-fi in our apartment and in the lobby of the building.
We appreciate travellers who love kids as we have one of our own who is seven years old. It's important to us that you want to be part of our family and our community. We'd love to hear about your studies and travels and would enjoy getting to know you. We also respect your need for privacy.
Must love kids! No pets please. Our building is non-smoking. If you do smoke, that's fine, you'll just need to take a walk outside, off the property. Single occupancy only, no guests please. Vancouver is a small and easy city to get around in. I walk or ride my bike almost everywhere. This apartment is right in the heart of Mount Pleasant and a 25 minute walk to downtown. Or you can walk 5 minutes to the sky train to get to the airport or downtown.

I travel a lot for work. I will try to meet the guests but this is unlikely to happen. I have a property manager who lives nearby and will be available for any emergencies or questions.
I am travelling for work. I hope that visitors are fairly quiet - there are some more rambunctious bars just 3 blocks away..! This is a beautiful, bright home, within walking distance to trendy Mount Pleasant and a 10 min train ride to downtown Vancouver. You will not be disappointed.

Yaletown is the most chique and trendy neighbourhood in the city, situated centrally in downtown Vancouver. It is the headquarters for Vancouver's nightlife, gastronomy, sports arenas, boutique yoga studios, concerts and other elements you would associate with a vibrant urban environment - all densely packed within a few city blocks and completely walkable.
For non-Canadians: Vancouver is a very safe city by almost every standard. Violent crime is exceedingly rare and most people, including myself, do not think twice about walking alone outside at any time of day or night. I cannot say the same for many other cities I've travelled to worldwide.
My building is VERY centrally located in downtown Vancouver, within a 10 minute equidistant walk to both the nearest north-south Canada Line (airport access and southern suburbs) station and the east-west Expo/Millenium/Evergreen Lines station (to eastern suburbs) on the city's rapid rail system - called "Skytrain".
In addition to the suite itself, guests have access to the following building amenities: 1. Gym 2. Pool
Guests can have as much or as little interaction with me as he/she desires. I have had guests keep to themselves and I have also had guests who I introduced to my friends and partied all weekend with.
Every guest who have stayed here has enjoyed his or her time (please read references). My apartment is an open concept unit with polished concrete floors and 9' ceilings. It's bright and south facing and has a fantastic sheltered balcony. The suite has five stainless steel kitchen aid appliances, in-suite laundry, and a huge bathroom. I like to think it's tastefully decorated, though a bit sparse and modern. The bedroom area has sliding glass walls to either enclose or reveal the bed/room. The mattress is a Kingsdown luxury mattress, but please note I don't have the bed frame anymore (as shown in the photos) and the mattress and box spring are on the floor. Also, I now have a larger L shaped couch and no glass dining table. I eat at the island or outside on the patio table when it's nice out. The building has a gym, a concierge, and an optional secure underground parking stall. The location is perfect! It's at the very end of False Creek, close to Science World and the train station. There is a gym and underground parkade if requested. I will provide all towels and shampoo and conditioner. All appliances are available for use including in suite laundry. The space is lived in but many closets will be emptied for your use.
I will interact with you as often as you desire. If you have questions about the city, feel free to ask, and if you'd like me to leave you alone I can do that too :)
Fine Print: Please no smoking inside, just on the balcony. I have a 2 bedroom suite that I sometimes sublet when away on vacation. Each bedroom is fully furnished with a queen sized bed and large south facing windows. The location has easy access to public transit, a community centre, the public library & lots of restaurants. Hip Main Street is an artsy, diverse and super friendly neighborhood. Abundant with great coffee shops (mostly independent) and restaurants, funky clothing shops, and several grocery stores.
Please note we have children in the neighborhood. As well my mother has a small daycare next door and the children have run of our front yard. If you are visiting us during the warmer months you will likely hear the children laughing and playing at some point during your stay :) As for us, your hosts, we live in the upstairs suite. While we do our best to be quiet, the house is not totally sound proof. Please be aware that during your stay you will hear us "living" upstairs :)
We are close to major transit routes. Both Main Street and Fraser are only a few blocks away. As well the Skytrain and Canada Line are easily accessible.
We typically have a lock box on the door for easy access to the suite but will be by to check on you, typically on your first day of arrival. We are always available by phone or text.
No smoking. No pets. Please wash and put away all dishes before checkout. Please take compost, recycling and garbage out to the appropriate bins Compost is at the back and is shared with the neighbors. It’s on their property and sits by the chain link fence. It’s the bigger bin with a green lid Garbage is at the back of the house, under our back stairs. Please use the large square grey bin. Recycling is outside your entrance door. Checkout is 11am unless other arrangements have been made. Please inquire if you need a later checkout time. Send us a message to let us know when you are departing. The living Room has a large window making it very bright with a comfy condo sofa , but it's (not a sofa bed so it does not fold out or pull out into a bed) The suite is really for 2 people tops (couple) :) The bedroom has a Queen bed and is just off the living room through the lovely french doors which have curtains inside if you want a bit more privacy. So many things I love about this neighbourhood! Great Cafes, Restaurants, Theatres, Craft Breweries, neighbours, community events, Local Farmers Markets, Craft Fairs, Thrift Stores, The PNE, A few blocks to the Ocean at New Brighton Beach, great parks, and the most eclectic mix of peoples and cultures!!!
Sorry, there is no smoking in the suite. (outside is okay) Sorry, no pets allowed due to people with pet allergies
Public transit is just 2 blocks away to jump on a bus downtown or hop on one the other way to go out of the city. Or you can walk 3 blocks to Commercial Drive and hop the bus to the Skytrain at Broadway and Commercial and connect to all the sky train lines. Lots of free street parking included in front of the house. From the airport its easy to get to and from the suite, you have two choices. Get on the sky train at YVR go to Vancouver City Centre Station. Get off here and walk about a block and a half to Granville Station Skytrain. Then take the Millennium line or Expo line to Broadway and Commercial Dr. which is a 6 min. ride. Get off and catch the bus # 20 on Commercial Drive going North to Commercial Drive and Hastings St. Either get off at Hastings and catch another bus ( the #14 or #16 and get off at the first stop on Hastings, the first one past Victoria Dr. Its just two blocks from the suite from here. Or get off on Commercial Dr. at the stop just past East Georgia,
We have Free wireless high speed internet. We also have media player for Netflix etc. so you can enjoy a movie or your favourite TV shows and relax after a hard day of visiting. The big fully equipped kitchen has a gas range, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, French press (Bodum), and toaster. Dishes, pots, pans, cutlery, spices, oil, tea, coffee, flour and other odds and sods of useful kitchen items to make yourself at home and cook your own meals instead of having to eat out all the time. Complimentary coffee and tea is provided. It is a full bathroom (shower and tub),with towels, shampoo, all toiletries, hairdryer, curling iron etc.
It is a very private suite and we do our best to give you your privacy. Sometimes we rarely see our guests but we are around and easily reached if you need us for anything.
My husband and I live upstairs in the house and try to provide anything you might need to make your stay enjoyable. We both have a great knowledge of the Vancouver area and can recommend lots of great things to do, restaurants, etc. We want you to have a good time here. Have friends and family over for dinner if you like but we ask you be considerate about the noise as our neighbours have small kids. We are an outgoing 50ish couple who are outgoing and easy going. I have lived in the Vancouver area all my life. We drove across Canada to Newfoundland in 2005 and back through the States and there was something about every province and state that I liked, but I don't think I'd live anywhere else but Vancouver. We both love to travel and meet new people. We have been to Europe a few times but there are still a lot of places we'd like to see and have stayed at some Airbnb's ourselves. We have been doing a Vacation Rental in our beautiful heritage house for over five years now and still love it. I have owned this house over 24 years and it's the best neighbourhood in Vancouver in my opinion. The location, community, eclectic mix of people and cultures make it a fantastic worldwide destination.

Public transit is 1 block away. Parking is free on the street on a first come, first serve basis. The airport is a 20-25 minute drive away, or 35 minutes via public transit.
You have the entire apartment to yourself!
When possible, I meet you upon check in to give you a quick walk through, show where things are and answer any questions you have. I am also available throughout your stay if anything comes up.
1. No smoking please - inside or on balconies 2. No pets 3. Please keep noise down after 11pm as there are young families in the complex 4. I also love playing and learning new sports and activities. My current interests are playing golf, ice hockey, tennis and snowboarding. I have traveled to Italy, Greece, Turkey, Costa Rica, NYC, California and did London, UK in 12 hours -- Heathrow to Heathrow :) I have a long list of places yet to visit, and as a traveller I don't plan very far in advance.
